About 2,500 students in grades I-XII, from 20 schools of Chisinau, Balti and Cahul received educational kits, which included both school supplies and personal hygiene items.
According to Daniela Mamaliga, director of "Partnerships for Every Child", in the context of the crisis situation faced by the community of refugee families from Ukraine, as well as by families from Moldova, these kits bring significant support to parents by reducing the financial burden on them. "Through the offered kits, together with donors, we aimed to ensure the right of all children to education, to contribute to their well-being, which is essential for their health and smooth development" said Ms. Mamaliga.
In the process of distributing the kits, parents and students thanked and said that these kits are a practical and tangible support for them. In this context, Mrs. Svetlana Glotova, director of High School "Mihai Grecu" in Chisinau, thanked everyone for their support, involvement and effort in supporting the school community in the Republic of Moldova. "This action will certainly have a positive impact, including on children's school performance," Ms. Glotova stressed.
In addition to children and parents, 280 teachers from the three cities received kits with school supplies, and 23 schools received kits of cleaning products for schools.
The kits were offered within the project "Improving the wellbeing of children in educational institutions of Moldova" implemented by the NGO "Partnerships for Every Child", with the support of the Norwegian Refugee Council, funded by UNICEF and the United Nations' global fund for education in emergencies and protracted crises "Education Cannot Wait".
