Small grants contest was launched with the support of the European Union

With the support of the European union, small grants contest was launched in 6 regions: Cahul, Calarasi, Falesti, Nisporeni, Ungheni, and Transnistrian region, to facilitate the access of young children, aged 0-7, with special needs, to community support and educational services within the first years of life.

Thus, during 13 and 22 November 2017, informative meetings were organized in the mentioned regions, to explain the objectives of the small grants program. Representatives of NGOs and local public authorities were informed about the procedure and terms of project proposals application, geographical coverage, eligibility of activities and costs, and conditions of accountability.

The small grants program is implemented by “Partnerships for Every Child” /P4EC/ Association, within the project “Improving access of children with special needs to community support and education services within the first years of life”, in 5 districts: Cahul, Calarasi, Falesti, Nisporeni, and Ungheni. The general objective of the project is to ensure the access of children with special needs, aged 0-7, and their families, to support programs developed by the project. The programs aim to build the capacities of parents and professionals, to provide this category of children with the best opportunities for development of their potential in the first years of life.

The project is implemented by P4EC, in collaboration with the consortium of British organizations MellowParenting and HealthProm, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Research, Ministry of Health, Labour, and Social Protection, and the authorities of the 5 pilot regions of the project. The total value of the project of 680 000 EUR is funded by the European Union.
