Development of integrated social services for children and families in the Soroca Rayon

The project purpose

EveryChild Moldova has built the capacities of the Soroca local public authorities in the development and promotion of sustainable community-based social services, focused on the respect of the child’s right to a family. The project objectives were aiming at supporting Soroca raion to set up efficient mechanisms to prevent child’s separation from the family and at developing efficient models of social services for children and families. The mechanisms of prevention of separation of the child from his/her family, created by Soroca local public authorities with the support of EveryChild Moldova, include the Social Assistance Centre for Child and Family, incorporating 6 social assistants and the Gate-Keeping Commission. Among the services developed within the project are Family Support, Reintegration, and Foster Care services.
