On October 7-9, with the support of UNICEF, foster carers, children placed in foster care, as well as the employees in charge of providing the Foster Care service from Causeni, Donduseni, Orhei and Ocnita districts participate in an autumn school called “For Every Child”.
The event is part of a series of activities that have been carried out since April, aimed at strengthening the Foster Care service in Moldova, so that children at risk, including children separated from their parents or unaccompanied children from Ukraine can enjoy the warmth and protection of a family. At the event, the Foster Care employees will attend a complex training program focused on the adequate and professional response to the needs of children who experienced various traumas, including the one caused by war. Children will be involved in various educational activities and will enjoy socialization and entertainment opportunities.
The event is organized by P4EC within the project “Protection of children, women and families in emergency situation”, supported financially by UNICEF and implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
*Foster Care is a family-type service that offers the chance to grow up in a safe and nurturing family to children without parental care.
