Calarasi local steering committee of the Children in Moldova are cared for in safe and secure families Project had ordinary work meeting on Wednesday 2nd November 2016. The remaining 10 pilot regions of the project will call similar work meetings during the month of November.

The USAID-funded project Children in Moldova are cared for in safe and secure families is implemented by Partnerships for Every Child /P4EC/, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family, Ministry of Education, and the regions Cahul, Calarasi, Causeni, Falesti, Nisporeni, Orhei, Rezina, Singerei, Soroca, Telenesti, and Ungheni.

During the meetings the representatives of P4EC, local decision-makers and authorities of the relevant region-level institutions discuss the implemented project activities that have been included into this year’s activity plans, and approve work plans for the year 2017. The meetings agenda includes issues related to the progress in social services development in each of the regions, trainings and new programs implemented with the support of the P4EC (The National Practice Model “Getting it right TOGETHER for every child”, psycho-social support program PANDA, etc.).

The Local Steering Committees are created in order to ensure the sustainability of the project’s actions, to strategically guide the project implementation process at the local level, and to facilitate the decision-making process leading to the achievement of joint objectives.
