During 27th July and 1st August 2014, 83 persons, members of Advisory Boards for Children from Cahul, Calarasi, Falesti, Ungheni, and Telenesti raions, participated in a training event organized in summer school format.
The summer school had a series of objectives, including capacity building of ABC members to involve in the monitoring and evaluation of social services for children, facilitate experience exchange between ABC members in their consultation activity of local child care programs, and planning future activities of ABCs.
A special activity in the summer school program was mini-theatre performances to support the implementation of a new communication campaign held by Partnerships for Every Child in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family and with the local public authorities. The goal of the campaign is to promote family values and family care for every child. It should be mentioned that the children and young people participated in all stages of production, starting with the concept development, and finishing with the mounting of the performances, also appearing as performance actors. The performances were based on the slogan A Strong Family For Every Child. To develop actor’s skills, the children were guided by 4 professional actors from the National Theatre Mihai Eminescu.
The summer school was organized within the project A Strong Family for Every Child, implemented by Partnerships for Every Child, in collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Moldova, and funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
