Wednesday, May 13, 2015

Decision-makers and specialists in child welfare and education from 6 regions of the Republic of Moldova were informed about the child welfare and family protective factors approach at a workshop held by Partnerships for Every Child.

The workshop agenda included issues related the development of partnerships and collaboration between different specialists and areas, application of welfare indicators, child joint evaluation framework, and family protective factors. In addition, the PANDA program of psycho-social assistance for children was presented. It is piloted in 11 partner regions, and other two regions are preparing to join the process.

Besides, the participants were consulted about the concept of inter-regional learning produced by P4EC and previously coordinated with 5 LPAs. This learning program provides support in the collaboration between professionals who hold similar positions in different LPAs, and helps to make full use of experience exchange between the partner regions. Following the piloting process, this concept will be recommended for replication at the national level.

The event was organized by the NGO Partnerships for Every Child (P4EC) within the project Children in Moldova live in strong and secure families, funded by USAID.
