Advocating for the sexual and reproductive rights of young persons

The project purpose

Ensuring community mobilization focused on parents, teachers, faith based organisations and religious leaders, aiming at increasing support in the comprehensive sexual education of young people, through the programme “Education for Health”. .

The specific objectives of the action:

• Improved quality of the comprehensive sexual education in schools;
• Improved level of understanding among young people and communities from selected regions of issues regarding sexual and reproductive health and rights;

Outcomes (1) Reduction in numbers of pregnancies and of number of abortions among adolescent girls; (2) Reduction in incidence of infections with sexually diseases, Including HIV, in the selected regions (3) Reduction in number of cases of sexual abuse and gender based violence among young people in schools.
