On 25th October, 2018, a roundtable of the project “Assistance in the social and professional integration of girls at risk from the two banks of the Nistru river by opening a social workshop in Tiraspol” was held to present the results of this project.

The project was implemented between April and October 2018 and was aimed at strengthening trust and forming friendly relations between young girls from both banks of Nistru river. To this end, the Charity Fund “Childhood to Children” from Tiraspol and the NGO “Partnerships for every child” from Chisinau established a partnership aimed at acquiring practical knowledge and accumulating work experience for girls that will enable them to access the labor market in the future. The girls enjoyed additional opportunities of professional education through training, seminars, master classes and trips. All of these have contributed to the establishment of friendly relations, the ability to work in a team, to provide each other with professional and human support not only within the project, but also beyond it.

The event was attended by many guests: representatives of the media, public organizations from Tiraspol and Bender, project partners and the JSC “Intercenter – Lux”. In addition, our participants prepared a show of their best products: skirts, pants, aprons, potholders, etc. In their comments and reviews the girls gave a clear notion of the importance and role of such projects.

The songs performed by Ilia Capatina, a graduate of the Charity Fund “Childhood to Children”, the merry surprise quizzes and the delicious buffet also left unforgettable impressions.

We can only hope that this is the end of a beautiful beginning. This Project was implemented within the Building Confidence Program funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme.
