Our colleagues, Irina Spivacenco and Elena Railean have been accredited as trainers in the Mellow Parenting programme. The training of trainers was delivered on 19th-20th of November, 2019, by the Mellow Parenting organisation from the UK.
The Moldovan professionals who want to specialise in this programme can attend the training in Mellow Parenting provided by local trainers.
“Mellow Parenting” is designed to support parents develop their parental skills at different stages of child's development, beginning with the pre-natal one up to the pre-school age and is underpinned by the principles of attachment, social learning and cognitive behaviour theory.
The “Mellow Parenting” programme was launched in 2016, for the first time in the Republic of Moldova, by the NGO “Partnerships for every child”, with the support of the EU and the World Childhood Foundation. 280 parents from Cahul, Calarasi, Falesti, Nisporeni, Ungheni, Soroca, Sîngerei, Orhei and Chisinau have been included in this programme so far being supported to improve their parental skills and relationships with their children.
The program is delivered in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection within the “Mellow Parenting Programme” project funded by the World Childhood Foundation.
