Personal protective equipment against COVID-19 amounting to over 160,000 MDL has been donated to the Temporary Placement Centre for Children with Disabilities from Hînceşti to ensure the protection of the 253 women placed there and the about 200 employees of the centre.
The equipment includes 2150 gowns, 3200 masks, 1000 medical bonnets, 1000 shoe covers, 3000 pairs of gloves and disinfectants. The donation has been transmitted by the NGO „Partnerships for every child” (P4EC) with financial support of the Síol Foundation from Ireland.
The procurement has been possible due to the grant of 50,000 EUR provided to the Moldovan Government by the Síol Foundation from Ireland at the end of March. 35,000 EUR of the grant money were used to procure medical and protective equipment for a number of health facilities across the country, as well as food and personal hygiene items for 150 families from 10 districts of Moldova in the amount of 10,000 EUR.
