With the support of the European Union, specialists responsible for the "Personal Development" subject in the education departments across the country, as well as teachers and managers, and teachers of "Personal Development" from Nisporeni district, are participating in the methodological meeting on "Personal Development and Students’ Well-being: Assistance, Intervention and Counseling" on June 7-8. The event is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Research /MER/, the NGO "Partnerships for Every Child" /P4EC/, Nisporeni District Council, and NGO "EdCamp Moldova".

According to Viorica Mart, chief consultant at the MER, "the event aims to disseminate 'peer-to-peer' experiences among teachers, managers and coordinators of the 'Personal Development' subject across the country to ensure child well-being and to support them in crisis situations," Ms. Mart said.

The advisor to the President of the Republic of Moldova in the field of education and research, Valentina Chicu, noted the need for such training for all teachers in the country. "The well-being of the child in school depends on adults and can only be ensured if we embrace the true teacher’s role, aware how to transmit positive emotions and being fully present in children’s life. We must raise a respectable generation that can respect, build, and develop," Ms. Chicu stated.

The event includes workshops focused on child and family well-being, a public discussion café, and a practical workshop where participants will have the opportunity to present their views on the implementation of the Instruction on the Inter-agency Cooperation Mechanism for Primary Prevention of Risks to child well-being.

The event is held with the financial support of the European Union as part of the project "For a society where girls and boys can thrive and reach their full potential with dignity," implemented by the NGO "Partnerships for Every Child" and CNFACEM.
