With the support of the European Union, eight NGOs from three pilot districts were trained in the financial management of projects.

According to Irina Spivacenco, project coordinator of “Partnerships for Every Child” /P4EC/, the workshop was carried out in order to provide assistance and support to local NGOs in managing projects, which includes writing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting. “The participants learned how to prepare a project proposal, correctly estimate costs, negotiate the contract, etc.,” said Ms. Spivacenco.

Mr. Dumitru Zgherea, director of NGO “Ancestral Soul”, from Selemet village, Cimislia district, said “for us, as a young organization, the training on financial management was useful, necessary and remains topical, especially in the context of obtaining the sub-grant, amounting to EUR 6,400 offered by the EU. We encountered difficulties, including the correct cost estimation, but we managed to solve them together with the P4EC project team.”

The workshop was delivered with the financial support of the European Union in the project “For a society where girls and boys can thrive and reach their full potential with dignity”, implemented by the NGO “Partnerships for Every Child” and the National Center for Training, Assistance, Counseling and Education of Moldova.

In December 2022, four local NGOs from Cimislia, Stefan Voda and Cantemir districts received small sub-grants, which aimed to mobilize resources at local level to create a supportive and inclusive social environment in which children feel safe and protected from any form of violence. The grants also facilitated the establishment of sustainable partnerships between local public administration and civil society in order to be able to respond promptly to concerns and risks regarding the wellbeing of children and their families.
