In July – September, community mobilization activities to promote education for health among young people will be held in 15 communities from five districts: Cahul, Orhei, Rezina, Falesti and Ungheni. The actions have been identified at the workshops held with the participation of young people, teachers and parents from the 15 communities and will be carried out in each community.
The final aim of the planned actions is to contribute to raising the awareness of the community on health and development issues faced by young people, to identify solutions, as well as to increase the support from community members (parents, teachers, religious leaders, LPA, etc.) for health education programs.
The activities will be financially supported within the UNFPA Moldova Promoting Youth Health Education Program, developed in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, NGO “Partnerships for every child”, Educational Center “Pro Didactica”, and the Y-PEER youth education network.
In autumn 2018, more than 5600 community members from the same 5 districts participated in similar activities in other 22 communities.
