This donation that amounts to 10,000 EUR is transmitted to the families by the NGO „Partnerships for every child” (P4EC) with financial support of the Síol Foundation from Ireland.
According to the P4EC director, Daniela Mămăligă, this aid is provided in the context of social effects that are already seen in Moldova as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and aims at supporting the affected families and ensuring children’s wellbeing.
The families have been identified by the Social Assistance and Family Protection Departments from the 10 districts. The donation includes: vegetables, oil, wheat flour, grains, pasta, pea cans, corn, fish and tea, sweets, as well as shampoo, liquid soap, toothpaste and dishwashing liquids.
The donation was possible due to the grant of 50,000 EUR provided to the Moldovan Government by the Síol Foundation from Ireland at the end of March. 35,000 EUR of the grant money were used to procure medical and protective equipment for a number of health facilities across the country.
